Wow! It's Been Almost Nine Months
So I haven't been bloggin' regularly like I said I would because a lot has happened to me since I last blogged. I met a wonderful man named Allen Lewis. He proposed to me and were engaged. We moved in together in June. I lived with Allen and his brother Jason and their grandmother Nancy in a trailer in Beach Park, IL. Which is close to Waukegan. I lived with them for approximately 2 months. From July to August and in September me and Allen moved to Kenosha, Wisconsin got married and we lived there for 4 months. We had a very nice 2 bedroom apartment and even had a roommate live with us in November. His name was Josh. He and his gf Page stayed with us for a month. He had to move because there are no jobs in Kenosha. He moved to South Dakota. Me and Allen thought about moving with him but we decided to stay in the Chicagoland area since our families are nearby. Well in January we had to give up the apartment so that I could move back home with my dad so that I could take care of him. His health was on a decline and he could hardly walk plus his vision got bad and was now legally blind. Being a good daughter I decided to take care of him and sacrifice being with Allen. He also made the sacrifice because he is a good-kind hearted man. He went back to stay with his brother and grandma until we could find an apartment in Chicago and figure things out. It's hard because I don't work and Allen can pretty much cover rent but nothing else. I hate knowing he is around so much temptation. Foodwise I mean. We had made so much progress those 4 months we were at the apartment. Allen was losing weight and his legs weren't as swollen anymore. I need to get Allen out of there or else he wont make it. But, at the same time I have to take care of myself too. My diabetes has been bad and now they want to get me on insulin shots. I started working out in the mornings. Christina (my best friend) comes to pick me up everyday to go to the gym to work out. I get on the treadmill for 30 to 45 minutes. I have actually been going for a week now. I am going reluctantly because I am so big that my body gets tired easily and my legs are sore, but I know in the end I will lose weight and exercise will be easier for me the more I do it. I am going to visit Allen and spend the weekend with him after I work out tommorow. Then I will be back on Monday since my dad has his surgery next week. I am also going to work on my diet. I have been eating big meals and I need to eat 7 small meals throughout the day. I also bought protein powder and a mini-blender so that I can make protein shakes in the morning for when after I work out. I got some fresh strawberries to mix with the vanilla powder. I hope this will help me to lose the extra pounds I have packed on due to stress and depression.
